Blades are reverse printed and have a nylon coating for extra life. The double-sided marking makes all the difference when measuring ceilings and window reveal etc. All come with an automatic brake which locks the blade in position during use until you press the release control button. They also benefit from a sliding magnetic hook and belt clip.
